thats cause your using the wrong kind of coke :whistling:

half a bottle of tap fridge water from home and a can of coke at less than 10 bucks beats any commercially available product in price. as for effectiveness, it works very very well!!!

better or worse than others i cant say but for what it is it is unbelievable how well it does what it does.

agreed, it really is black magic ol coke....

After a big mountain top stage at le tour last year, I remember the manne being handed little cans of coke at the end....good enough for them, good enough for me.

How much is a tub of Ride2TheMaxV02TastesLikePoo nowadays???

500 skille?

At 15 bucks for a 2L( http://www.makro.co.za/groceries-and-toiletries/coca-cola-/br-soft-drink-/br-4-x-2l--2662049SW )you can buy 33 units giving you approx 130L of juice, good value I say

Pvm been around a while, use to be called energy dynamics. I haave been using it since 2000.

It was also the first product to put a bit of protein in their energy drink.(as far as I know)

A company that doesn't spend too much on marketing, hopefully spends more on the product.

Energy drinks is a multi million busyness.  People make money out of it.

You can use much cheaper options which will give you the same results.  100% apple juice will do the thing just as well (Diluted with water to your preference)

Here's a gem!

I buy maltodextrin which is the main ingredient of most energy drinks in 25kg bags (smallest you can get)

Tongaat product - Unidri 20 bought at Protea Chemicals at about R300/25kg bag.

It has no expiry time really - so it lasts for ever.

A gyne told me 1/4tsp salt in bottle prevents carmp - best advice I've ever had.

A lot of brands now make small single serving bags. My advice is to go to your LBS/SW/Dischem and get a load of different ones and try them out.

We are all made up differently, have different taste preferences and different budgets. I've found that natural is better, but products from Cadence, 32GI and Hammer agree with my metabolism.

Just because Jannie likes the taste of product X and therefore swears by it chasing his next Strava KOM, doesn't mean Pietie will like it too.

Read through all the above advice (which is good and based on everyone's own experience) but then try and see what works for you!

Same here....funny story. The ones with the least flashly claims / labels are the ones I like

STF, Cadence, Sponsor, Hammer

Enduren rocks. Simple ingredients (no chemical crap), locally made and less expensive than the flashy brands. Nice, neutral taste that is still palatable after hours of racing.

exactly, doesnt leave that cotton mouth feeling like many others. been using it for years now...Hell even Giniel DeVilliers uses it when racing Dakar
