Thanks Taahir. Bike's a beast. pity bout the rider ;)

As for that corner, it wasn't too bad. I stalled in easier corners later on :(

I'm no delvera fan hey, ill ride there any other day. But racing there just breaks me.

I liked SS2, SS3... just wish I knew how to really push myself. When I was sitting at the start of SS4 I kept wondering if I really pushed my limits on the previous stages.

I hope I'll get better at gris with experience.

Want to know your limits? Remember this phrase: "better to hurt in practice than to bleed in battle" Training is a better place to get to know your limits than trying to figure it out during a race. Granted, with unfamiliar terrain, its hard to know when to push and for how long. But in general, just keep giving what you got.

I did not imply it at all. It was a legitimate question, posed by not only me but other people as well. It didn't help that the 2 different competitions are given the same name ie: Enduro, and the WP Gravity Enduro page on FB has been advertising DH events, Enduro class events and now Enduro Series events. Naming conventions could be a bit more clear.

All I (and a few others) requested was clarity. I said I HOPED it was not just a publication of the Enduro class events. I HOPED it was a full series a la Dirtopia and last year's series.

That was clarified yesterday, and I posted their clarification here after they posted on FB.

For goodness sake, man. Get a grip. Just because you have a crystal ball hidden in a dark crevice, it doesn't give you the right to accost others for having or voicing legitimate queries.

You're being way too sensitive Myles. In hindsight, maybe I should have left out the exclamation marks.

I don't have a crystal ball. All I asked was, why wouldn't they, if they had one last year. I thought it was pretty obvious what was posted.

You know what it's not worth arguing this petty ***, I'm off on leave on Friday...tata

That was a slick race that Dirtopia put on. Delays were minimal after stage 1 and the tracks were grippy as anything after the rain. The stages all worked well and the scare factor was minimal so it was good for beginners as well.

I need more fitness....

Meurant has always put together a slick operation though.

Ja I been struggling with fitness too. I dont mind punishing myself to get to the top etc, but it would be great to be fit enough. Everytime I get close then I loose out a few weeks of no MTB action which puts be back at square one

Its not just that my bru. Since the fire we hardly don't do weekday rides anymore. That's our biggest problem. We're too fussy to take our trail bikes to rhodes or something. So we just ride weekends. Taal monument was lekker. We should hit that this weekend again.

But we really need to suck it up and just go ride some jeeptrack during the week to keep fitness up. Its the only reason I didn't enter.

I was expecting Loose, so the firm terrain on SS1 and start of SS2, toyed with my mind a bit.

true: there was truckloads of grip. only the hardpacked bits through the vineyard saw some drift action, which was pretty fun. the left hand entry into the vineyards (just before the fast descent with a road block in the middle somewhere)  near the top of SS4 comes to mind.

Hence why I am trying to do 40 min to an hour on the IDT during the week

Ya my braking control was poor at that point - large rear tyre slide. For the rest grip for ever.

Thanks, I can't see Jonkers being used any time soon.

I wouldn't mind having one at Bloemendal, that piece down Lombards has been prepped brilliantly after summer. Those berms are amazing, they literally slingshot you out of them.

Just not sure where the other stages would be, maybe from the top of Magik Forest but then not many more options after that.... pity.

I tried to get some drift there for the camera but the back tyre just stuck to the trail. Loved that race. Best one by far
