Chris NewbyFraser Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Why do the Camelbak mouthpieces begin to leak after about a year? The drip drip drip is worse than an unhappy wife!! Can Hubbers advise on an alternative, more effective mouthpiece I can buy.
dirtypot Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Stop biting it so hard. If you bite hard the end of the slit splits and doesn't seal nicely. Mine lasted three years with no problems, then I let my daughter play with it, and drip drip drip.Sportsmans have them for R120. Easy swap out.

GLuvsMtb Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Its to force you to cultivate a good drinking technique. Blow air back up the pipe after drinking from the camelbak. It also means that your drink does not warm up in the pipe thingy.

Or I have to stop at each water point to rehidrate - time lost is bad for my psyche - I don't want to come absolute last in my category, second last is better.
