Cycling Caps

Everytime I wear mine I imagine I'm riding the classics and feel real badass  But it's a retro coolness which I quite like.

Saw some at Hotspot last year, they should still have (literally too lazy to go check where the OP is from)... They had Orica Greenedge, Lotto-Belisol and Assos caps

Because its relevant from Bill Stricklands blog:

"When you’re on a podium, though, there’s no reason to befoul the quirky beauty and eccentric tradition of our sport by wearing a baseball hat instead of a casquette. Take the moment to pay tribute to the idiosyncrasies of our sport. There are a lot of things sideways with pro cycling these days. This is one that seems easy to fix: Take off the baseball hat and put on a cycling cap. It’s a gesture of respect for the often-obscure history of our sport. (No one is sure exactly when the design of the modern cycling cap was settled upon from among the many styles worn earlier, though it seems to be sometime in the 1950s or 1960s.) It is also, at this point, a mark of personal sartorial acuity and confidence—people who can make a disgraced or bygone fashion their own are the ones who possess true style."

You know the cap is the least of your worries if you're rocking that little faux pas....

Until you've cycled with a cap on....

On a dull day, no need for shades, the peak keeps the wind out of your eyes.

On a hot day, ditch the bandana - the cap does the trick, while the peak keeps the sun off your neck.

And the bonus, well to some of us at any rate, they look pretty nifty!

I have hundreds of the damn things lying about the house, but given my rather pronounced aural appendages, I try not to draw too much attention to them.

It's never really been cold enough to warrant wearing one in winter, I still have a full head of hair so no use in summer, and since I'm not a single speed riding, skinny jeans wearing, mustachioed hipster, I don't think I can pull it off normally, either on a bike or otherwise.

Our new Anatomic Lady Luck cycling cap... (excuse the shoddy pic - my Nikons at home  )

We've updated the old cotton cap a little - these stretch for a perfect fit (ideal for under the helmet), while still maintaining the look and feel of the old classic. And they're fully printable and made right here in SA, so custom orders are not an issue  ;)

Look forward to hearing your guys feedback?

Available at the Anatomic factory stores - along with a South Africa and Ride Mag version

Please tell me it is black with a 'subtle' SA flag in one or two places?

It would be a brilliant present for who I want to give it to... but I cant stand big blobs of bright colours spread over cloths. (I know the problem is with me)

Plain black, SA flag colour pinstripes on a 2cm ribbon down the middle of the cap - very clean  ;)

You guys can wear them with your track pant streatched at the knees or polyshorts with your Croc's ... Yea very 'badass'

Oh and don't forget one of those vests where the arm holes are down to your waist.

If you want to look like a **** , wear them all together because they belong together.
