Bree street and the start of the work morning + a few hours whilst contractors run in and purchase materials.....but there will always be at least 1 car parked at that point during the day

So I visited the website offered up on their car and sent them an email. The email bounced. Go figure

I used to commute in London everyday, and had some hairy moments with idiotic drivers.  I'll just say this - mirrors take very little persuasion to become less attached to the vehicle than they should be...

Will it feel like a ribbed condom when you ride this new safe cycle lane?

No, but I am sure you will be F$%#%# if you come off on it at speed.

Not really. But it is a bitch to brake on when wet!

The new lanes feel rubberized and the texture with the aggregate from the road exposed adds more traction. The other green lanes that are fully painted are a little dodgy!

Looks like someone is paying attention at the city of Cape Towns road planning dept to have made the decision to do the new lanes as per my pics.

Agreed  they are better. But my back wheel still locks out faster when wet. But thats just riding in the rain, no getting away from that!

Not sure if it is legal to post others vehicle reg on the net but here you go.

Name and Shame!

The area infront of RG JACK & SON seems to be the most problematic.

And this is every morning!

From @BicycleSafetySA:

@CityofCT: Hi there, please report this to Law Enforcement on 0860 103 089.

This annoys me no end. They have the photo, the tweet and whatever else. Why don't they report the bloody thing themselves?

OK next photo will be law enforcement doing their job when I drop the dime. I used to get moored as a laaitie for telling but enough is enough. Im gatfol of being forced into the road when it is unnecessary.

That is if law enforcement is a reality!

Exactly! That's why @BicycleSafetySA wanna hammer @CityofCT with photo's 24hrs a day. So post as many photo's here as possible or even better, on twitter and include @BicycleSafetySA in the tweets so they can re-tweet it to death until, hopefully,  something gets done.

Email sent to the Manager:

Dear Karyn

Please would you advise your staff not to illegally park in the dedicated cycle lanes as per the pic attached and also please refer to the link of a thread where this is was noted.

We are as a cycling community put at risk every time a vehicle is parked or uses the dedicated green cycling lanes.

I will also be copying this email to the thread in order for the other users of that stretch of road to be aware that you have been notified in writing thereof.

Kind Regards
Jerome
