So the bad habit of parking in the cycle lane continues.

In all fairness that's a Landy and it is not parked. It's broken down. Is that oil running out from under it?

 

Jokes aside I'm shocked by this thread. What's the point of the lanes. Waste of paint.

if Cape Town is looking to create jobs and make money they should employ full time "boete bessies" paroling this section, it's a win win, I don't understand why something is not done about this!!! it really pissed me off.

I chatted to a CCID officer the other morning and asked him to politely tell the drivers sitting in their cars (Parked in cycle lane) to move ..... his reply was that the traffic officials only start work at 9am and they (CCID) have no power to ask the cars to move and many motorist's have told them this in the past too.

So again I had the time to photograph and post on this forum even though the situation has not changed at all.

 

 

Then I had a chat with this dude that was quite oblivious to the fact that he was breaking the law. After a quick and blunt explanation as to why he cant park on the lane, he too moved his bakkie.

So it seems like you need to hit businesses where it hurts them to be effective. hit them on twitface if they have a presence there OR how about hellopeter?

I'd just love to build up a monster bike and just ride into these offenders....they have no leg to stand on. but it's obviously not the way to build bridges. here's a more psber way to do it

got lots of evidence?..probably wouldn't look good coming from me, BUT i think he's the kind of guy who would give a damn if it effected his business reputation.
