Thought the high level footage from the cherry pickers was great and some of the shots at high level tau followed the riders.

If this is what redbulltv are going to be producing this year then I am excited!

Commentary was a bit flat.

Some young riders showing good potential.

After Gwins run it was really rather boring with no one even threatening the no spot. ..........

Enjoyed the ladies race though

Claudio and Rob doing the commentary...I think it was flat because they realised that the time by gwinn was a winner...also..think about it there was not one "he's up!" the whole afternoon...real anti climax...and now we have to wait 2 months!!

maybe they need a Duckworth Lewis system to decide where protected riders slot in instead of starting them way back

might have been flat cos Rob get a pre-commentary fingerwagging by the producers ;) I'm sure every british commentator got the message after the Top Gear opera...

No doubt Gwinn was on another level today. I like to think Loic could have nipped it had he not almost washed in turn one.

As the race went on though, I couldn't help but think that Gwinn may have benefited from going early. Given, that Lourdes track was rough as a badgers arse, but surely then it would get exponentially worse after each run? It's not like you have your pick of lines in these WC races. Just a thought.

Also amazing to see what Brendog can pull off with less than half the fitness of his seeded competitors! The man's got style!

He annoys the bollocks out of me...had a little chuckle when he wiped out at the end....he talks the talk..but doesn't walk the walk....he must get fit and put his money where his mouth is.......rant over

seems scott lit a little fire under his lazy ass by pulling in a younger, better #1 rider in Mulally. Was wondering if Trek will be doing the same thing for Bulldog. Love the guy, but its the results that matter. Brannigan been's talked up big time, and their youngster, Laurie Greenland posted a time that would've won him 9th in the Elite Men's category.

I think it's pretty pathetic if you are an elite cyclist and can't be bothered to be in the top shape. Even Bryceland is in the gym non-stop.

Can't help think Brendog is part of the "screw lycra" crowd. Whips and blowing out berms don't pay the bills.

So instead of crying about pedally courses, get fit and pedal. Oh wait, Lourdes was rowdy as a Rodeo and he placed where again?

Still takes immense fitness to ride a track like that at that speed. but yes. He needs fitness badly.

Amazing racing, but the Commentary was flat most likely due to Gwin coming down so early with such an INSANE run ..

Camera angles were good in the canyon section, but I think they could have shot the Wall rather than that one road gap, (yeah I know it means more missions for Red Bull having to then pre-delay the shot before going live - as they would have been live from the road gap with the start and top rocks on a delayed pre-record) ... but I would have preferred to see the Wall section and loose the 2 road gaps. They were able to do it at Cascades to show the Gully and Tables, so it is possible to do a double set prerecord if you know the average time gaps between the sections.

So bummed for Tracey as she was on a stormer - that poor chick cant catch a break.

That inside line that Mike Jones took at the bottom of the canyon was like WTF ... no one else even got close to that line.

As for the Brendog thing ... yes hes talented, but he is a prize chop ...

He acts like a spoilt little brat ...

But its fun to watch him moan about tracks that arent like Champery, but then when he is given one that suits him he is still left-back-changerooms ...

Yes he can whip etc, but so what ...

I have no time for him.

Would have much preferred a Bruni win. Agreed, I think he had a way smoother track starting so low but as much as I loathe Gwin, he was on fire, pin-point lines! (And he wasnt his usual arrogant self during the post race interview)
