Front disc brake caliper mount rubbing against rotor

Morning tech gurus

I have recently upgraded my front fork to a Fox Evolution and on fitting the brake caliper, I have noticed that the top mount is rubbing against the rotor when then wheel is fitted.

Am running Mavic Crossrides.

Any ideas or solutions would be welcome.

Thanks

What hubs? If a cone based hub then it is possible to re-align the disc and hub further away from the brake mounts. Otherwise you may need to use a brake post facing tool...but first : I presume you have fitted new pads and correctly retracted the brake caliper pistons on both sides?

Assuming the pistons are working equally you may, as JXV said, need to face the the mounts on the new fork.  If it is catching on the "arch" of the caliper, a shim between the fork and caliper may be enough.

I had a similar issue, took the wheel off, checked the rotor, put back on and then adjusted the thru axle, sometimes if too tight it can affect the wheel alignment therefor affecting the rotor clearance in relation to the mounts. I know it's more common with quick releases but it worked for me and I have a thru axle.

what Chrone said, but here's the missing bit: once the caliper is loosened a bit, spin the wheel. Hit the brake. Spin the wheel again. If it sounds like there's no rubbing, hit the brake again, but hold the lever down. Then tighten the caliper bolts, and release the brake lever. self-alignment works most times.
