I'm happy I'm not a commentator. I've tried saying the MTN rider's name out loud a few times and trip over my tongue each time. Just can't get it right.

So from now on, I'm calling him Tek-something-not.

He's Danny T to me. That surname though..................

Well done DT and MTN Q .3d spot to Hagen

Yip, a good day for the MTN boys. Nice start to the race, hope it continues esp. with Main-Cheese in the 2nd half of the race.

On the site it shows you at 1142 Tombeej

Ja, that one is just my total for the year so far. I played the road.cc 'Spring Classics' campaign and those point are from then. road.cc have a fantasy league for all the major cycling events (now that you're registered, you'll get invited to play them all).

Stage 2 Profile

Stage started at 10H30

The four jersey wearers have started on the front line:

- Peter Kennaugh (Team Sky) is in the yellow jersey after his brilliant stage win in Albertville. He has six seconds lead over Sacha Modolo (Lampre-Merida), eight seconds over Edvald Boasson Hagen (MTN-Qhubeka) and twelve seconds over all the riders who finished in the peloton yesterday.

- A runner up to Peter Kennaugh in the points classification as well, Sacha Modolo wears the green jersey today. The Brit has 25 points. The Italian follows with 22. After winning two stages at the Giro d'Italia, he aims at a similar result at the Dauphiné.

Daniel Teklehaimanot (MTN-Qhubeka) holds the polka dot jersey. After breaking away yesterday, he leads the King of the Mountains competition with 10 points, followed by Björn Thurau (Bora-Argon 18), 7, and Romain Guillemois (Europcar), 3. This is the first time for MTN-Qhubeka to have a distinctive jersey in a World Tour event.

- Tiesj Benoot (Lotto-Soudal) is the best young rider. His lead is seriously threatened by runner up Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) who targets the stage victory today. Benoot, 21, is also the youngest rider in the race.

- Team Sky leads the teams' classification with two seconds over Tinkoff-Saxo, Lampre-Merida and MTN-Qhubeka.

Arnaud Courteille (FDJ) has attacked first. A group of three escapees has been formed from the gun with Perrig Quéméneur (Europcar) and polka dot jersey wearer Daniel Teklehaimanot (MTN).

Result of KOM at col du Chat, km 3:

1. Daniel Teklehaimanot, 5 points

2. Perrig Quéméneur, 3 points

3. Arnaud Courteille, 2 points

4. Filippo Pozzato, 1 point

Peloton timed at 1.50.

39.7km have been covered by the leading trio in the first hour of racing.

At the moment sky is on the front of the peloton and the gap is 5:15

MTN must surely be enjoying the World Tour vibe, Exposure and EBH and DT results of yesterday must have gained them some crucial World Tour points.

The leaders are about 15km of today's major climb. Col de Cuvéry, is a cat. 1 (8.7km at 6.7%).

Wouldn't be surprised to see Daniel T-man sprint up it once again but then sit back on the decent and wait fore the peloton to swamp him up and carry him home for the rest of the day till its time for the thoroughbreds to start galloping for the line.

And his performances so far might see him net a first appearance at Le Grande Boucle! So far so good for our Zebras!
