Best ever result for Moolman-Pasio in Giro Rosa

The biggest race in women’s cycling ended on Sunday in San Domenica di Varzo. The race which took place over ten days saw team leader Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio finish fourth overall. The result is the best ever for a South African in the only women’s Grand Tour.

This achievement should be in the newspapers countrywide! This is the toughest Tour on the Women's calendar.

 

I've been following this race up close year after year and to get so close to a podium placing is a very impressive result.

 

But it's not a SA issue, even the winner Anna only got a tiny mention in the Dutch media.

 

Very sad as these women sacrifice, train, live for cycling as much as the men!
