Tailwind okes, try it. Works great as it is not as sweet as a lot of the other energy supplements.

Do you buy it at Dischem?

Ja, like Scott also eluded - it is highly individual. So what works for one person may not for the other.

So far I get away with VERY FEW.  I eat oats beforehand and just take a sip of my wife's perpetium once or twice during and a little sip of water every now and then, but really nothing much.

My wife also feels very bad during and after running, blood sugar?, hence the perpetium.  Whenever she uses that she is 100 times better.

Amazing service. If ordered before 15:00, delivered the next day in Jhb

Thanks Raab, I will give it a try. I want to sort out my problem before the serious kilometers start in January.

How long has she been using Perpetuem? How often does she take it on the road?

Heard good things about Tailwind, esp from some guys in the States. And apparently it does not stuff up your hydration pack (trail running, sorry) like most other things do.

I have been seriously tempted to try ordering online... But then, esp when trail running I hardly ever use much but water. The odd time a gel (or if a casual but longish group run, a bar) or some of those 32GI tabs - sticking to the nutrition separation. So I simply never got around to ordering. Maybe worth a shot.

More than a year.   You take it according to their recommendations over a hour period.

No matter what the question, duct tape is the answer... LOL

The not so good news, I feel my knee, well let's just say a tenderness in the ITB area coming back.   Now the miles have been stacked up the last weeks, but the issue is they are stacking up way worse up untill 12/11.   I am concerned about this and not sure how to handle this.

Damm Ferret that is crap news...   Hope you get well soon.

So I went full out regarding my knee with advice from my running colleague as well.  I got a batch of anti inflammatories, a box of trans act patches and did all my excercises and stretches.

I still did not feel anything whilst running and even afterwards now everything is better.

So roll on the 32kms tommorrow and 13 Sunday and I guess we will soon know the answer to the test...

How so?

We did our 32 LSD Saturday and yesterday 13.  The 32 was our longest to date and the distance of 112 (The 9 days, last Saturday untill yesterady) was by far the most I did in my lifetime.  Even more than I did with a bicycle for a week.    Which is obviously a normal week for others but this is new to us.

Everything held up nicely, don't know anything about the ITB apart from the normal joints and muscles sensitivity.  My wife is struggling with her groin, which bothered her terribly on Saturday, but not yesterday.   It comes and goes.

But we're very chuffed with how things are progressing, slowly but surely.

Sorry Jackes I only saw the "how so" now

Taking anti flam will hide the pain possibly leading to further injury, and its also not a good thing to do while training (goggle it) as it can negatively affect the training benefits and at worse cause other problems i.e. damage to the kidneys

Jah i know everyone does it on occasion...but at what later cost?

How is the knee btw ?

Did'nt know about that.  I used kfenak for 5 days and the patches up until the 32km Saturday.

Knee is 100% now, don't know about it.

We have a easy week this week and I will just continue with the exercises and stretches!

Thanks
