Some rain predicted for Tuesday evening. I pray that it comes in buckets, as we really need it. Everything is bone dry in the WC with SE pumping now for 2 weeks. The whole WC feels like a box of matches just waiting for a spark.

Already I lost some of my ferns and other plants because of this dry windy weather, and the severe water restrictions.

I can't make out or get a report on what burned... was it the trail again or was it farm land?

Dunno yet. Waiting to hear from a mate of mine in VWS

Still going. Cant see down the valley but at sunset the smoke was still pretty thick down there. Its made its way to the end around Botmaskop side and seems to be going round the front.

Banhoek and Franschoek valley. VWS was tasked with keeping it from going over into jonkers

Has the Franschoek valley one grown? Drove past at lunch and it was a smallish fire in some reeds right next to the road.
