New bike if I loose 13 kg

how do you know its a reasonable goal? Body composition can change a lot in 10 years (I dont know how old you are, but I would think my own goal weight is different in my 20s and 30s).

Asking out of interest - my goal weight should also be 83 according to the population means etc, but I think 87 is more realistic for me these days.

I was on the SA student team (different sport and I kept the weight up to be heavier than 80 kg), and injured my back in Aus at the student games  in 2005 at the age of 20. Stopped all exercises.

Started cycling at 26/27 and I am 30 now.

Very cool allrounder... following your journey.

I've also set myself a couple of goals to earn myself a sexy black number (there's a DS Cube with my name on it)

I feel your pain...you can see by my profile pic :(

weight issues have been a life long challenge for me...the older you get the more difficult it gets...1 day i am 100 kg...looking and feeling great...by the time I wash the *** out my eyes i am back to being the fat oke again.

All diets work...even the banting works...the key wood is consistency...what ever works for you...keep at it.

I must have tried 5 diet already this year...tried cycling my butt off to loose weight you name it.

A healthy eating plan is what you need and regular exercise....not a diet or calorie cutting program or high protien or fat etc etc...they all work while you are doing them but as you stop so the weight just comes back.
