The gwinners are gonna moan.... But the highlight of the afternoon was seeing gwinn sparrow dive into the trees... lowlight was seeing tahnee lose it on carnage corner.... Observation of the day.. Gee is one hard mofo to otb at close to 50ks p hour and still carry on down the hill at pace and stop to congratulate greg at the finish

The two best runs. Bruni fully deserves the win and I'm sure even GM will say that was a brilliant run and be happy with second.

true story. Greg was fast but Bruni was on fire. Rather lose to that and know youve gone balls to the wall than crash out wondering

Very happy for Bruni and Minnaar showing he still has a lot to offer the sport. Silver so deep into his career after a hell of a WC campaign. Legend.

Just FWIW, I find it symbolic of our society that so many rejoice at the failure of others purely because the other person succeeds often. Usually same people who have nothing to offer themselves.

Anyways, haters gonna hate. Bring on Rampage.

Absolutely yes. Greg left it out on the course. I think Greg can be extremely pleased with his season. He has been fantastic all season proving once again what a top competitor he is.

Gee is a great rider even if he ain't that popular with fans in general he seems to have great rapport with the other racers. I suppose his reservedness (for a lack of a better word) working against him. Typically tough Brit. No wonder Rach is such a huge step ahead of the other girls.

Is "haters gonna hate" a reference to Gwin?

This season my opinion of gee has changed a lot...he is serious and therefore takes a lot of flak from keyboard warriors like us... But he is a genuine oke and very respectful of his competitors.... And a bloody good cyclist

Yip, we don't have to like everyone but important to a knowledge and give credit where it is due. When Gee turns it on he is very dangerous.

People have favourites dude.... So of course they happy.. Not for the failure of the one but for the success of the others.... Why was I pleased to see him crash?... Because knowing gwinn he could have had a stormer on that last section and still won.... Another second place for loic would have been a psychological nightmare... There are lots of top athletes who would not deal with that and take a long time to come back....so yeah i was pleased.. Not because gwinn crashed but because loic won..... even though it was highly likely he was gonna win anyway without the crash... But that might have pushed my real favourite out to bronze....

Personally I like Gee and didn't take it as criticism but as a compliment. Glad you're getting to see past his reservedness and to the decent guy he is but ja he does take a lot of undeserved flak.
