Wayne, what are you drinking besides tea? We've tried this but no idea what to give the kids to drink besides "as natural as possible" fruit juice??

i am blessed that my kids drink water.

Sometimes if they want something with flavour we have coke or sprite zero. But its a treat and not the norm.

I'm having a serious attempt at quitting sugar in all its forms, but it isn't easy! In fact I think it's more difficult than quitting smoking (I did that many years ago, and I know what that's like).

snip*

It is, yet we ram Fanta/Nesquick and takeaways down our kids throats each day, but dont try tell them its bad for their children, their private parts become sandy very quickly.

Well if you see me dishing out cigarettes at Primary School rugby matches, dont you dare tell me I cant!!

If you are aware of how bad sugar is (you have read this thread) and you still give your kids fizzy drinks and McDonalds etc, you need to take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror.

Interesting. I think I'll try that...

How many did that make?

oh forgot to mention that, makes 6 to 8 round buns. they are quite flat but they work.

I find the kakkest thing about LC is that you dont have things to eat your food with... wraps, buns etc.....

Another carb free substitute that we like, is Cheese Tortillas.

Just dump a hand full of grated cheese in a nonstick pan, grill till melted and slightly browned, take out and drape over a wooden spoon and let it cool = crispy cheese taco....

Nice topic!

We actually watched That Sugar Movie last week, and was definitely an eye opener.  Been trying to cut out sugars since then.

This thread is definitely making me more motivated to stay off the white stuff.

Cool. I see that they do expand a bit, so maybe they'd inflate / rise a bit more if confined to a mould

ja they do expand a bit. would probably work in a container.

this is a photo of some i made a couple of months ago.

Have switched my kids from daily fruit juice to school to only water. On weekends they can have a treat - usually Lipton Ice Tea. They made the change without any problems. They don't even ask for juice during the week anymore.

I love them, just slipped my mind...

They remind me of savoury pancakes.

To be honest, the rest of the cauli replacements are ***. The caulie rice, pizza bases all taste terrible and stink :(

The think I miss the most is a good ol pizzza :( (If I am hungover, I will order one :) )

I also miss pizza to be honest.

Last weekend I ordered one as I was craving very badly, but I pulled the base off and only ate the cheese and toppings, felt and tasted about the same..... except the looks I got from other people.
