hahaha.. have similar as I buy and sell.. my ratings say it all

Had similar recently.  Item priced to sell at good price, got a low ball offer.  So declined and advised that if he had done his research would know that my price is a good price.  Response was that it was no fun without negotiating so good luck with my sale!... So I just ignore and carry on with life... personally I don't see the point of being rude to chancers... it not going to achieve anything!!

Might even get a negative rating in the process

Hi all, I am one of those buy and sell guys. Some of you know me, some of you don't but I have been in the cycling industry for a while now(call it 20+ years). Its not as simple as buying and putting it up for more money/profit. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes. Calls, emails, driving out to collect the bike, servicing, replacing worn parts, cables, bearings, clusters, blades, chains, sending forks out for service, delivering bikes to clients or just driving to show customers a bike who cant leave the office. So what started out as good profit at the end of the day ends in a much smaller profit but I know the client is happy and that makes me even happier. Hey if it was easy money everyone would be doing it but I try keep my prices low and that's what I am known for is quality bikes at affordable prices.

I must say, one of the best deals and best bikes I ever bought was from upshift. I bought my wife a Kona CX bike a few months ago.

Was actually looking at the axiz A70 Upshift has for the SO to get into cycling. Just something that says open and honest, not that other private sellers arent

I think it's poor form, tbh. If you want to do it, fair and well, but I won't be buying or selling to you.

THIS

do what you like, but when there is a trend people pick up on it and will end up not trading with you

Shooting yourself in the foot if you ask me

If you buy and sell you should be contributing to the hub financially like the advertisers have to.

I am not saying the general buying and selling going on, I am talking about buying items off the hub and reselling the same item at a higher rate the same day. You are then becoming a re-seller and should be treated as such.

I am not sure if it is a rule for companies selling to contribute but I feel that if you are making a business out of reselling goods on the hub... you should contribute...

I wonder what @Admin thinks of this?

at what volume of sales does one start becoming a dealer, instead of owner? there is a selection box for the difference.
