NB: CSA/Olympics thread removed

Matt

Recommended Posts

Dear members,

As you may have noticed the thread containing information regarding CSA nominations and the Olympic team selection has been removed.

Much of the information posted was confidential. The email regarding the Olympic team selection exposed information, breaching certain agreements, which threatened the participation of a South African cycling team at the Olympics.

The Hub SA is all about freedom of speech, but when something threatens the future of cycling in this country and the future of South African cyclists something has to be done.

I hope that this decision is understood and respected.

Kind Regards,

Matt Eagar

Why did you than not only remove Dougs posting.?

I mean, we discussed nominates who carries baggage and informing people who and why they should vote or not vote .

If you now going to buckle on the pressure because WPCA / CSA unconstitutional issues, or CSA Managements politickery (?) and backstabbing, than why not just put a note on the HUB telling people that they cannot discuss anything regarding this MIGHTY AND WELL OILED ORGINIZATION.

Why is all this stuff leaked into the public domain? What do you think? per accident?

No sir, its all part of the upcommming selections and who want who in what position.

I'm done. CSA can do what they want, I dont want to know anything anymore from them. They can go to PE and re-elect the current bunch, good luck to them.

LAST QUESTION REGARDING THE TEAM:

Lets see who will go to Olympics then you take the names and add their managers names alongside it, than you add their Agents names alongside.

Lets see who got the most riders from "one camp". Should be interesting.

amen

Sorry to see Admin drawn into this mess, I respect your decision Admin however those behind this decision should bear the brunt and consequences to follow. Strange that the selfsame CSA board members leak this info and now we are stumped.Take note BOARD MEMBERS not CSA EMPLOYEES.

We are now starting to follow the ZIM REGIME because the truth hurts.

Matt thank you for your openess ( is there such a word) on the topic.  My club I ride for also tried this open forum thingy where you could post and chat on.

All went well until people started asking questions and challenging other people in management.  to cut it short this is now a forum where if you post out of line of what the elite few have decided, your thread is either removed or your post deleted or altered.  Bugger if there is freedom of speech in the constitution.AngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry

Thank you for placing this forum for us cyclists to bitch moan , sell stuff  and generally bite everyone **** and niggle others.

This is the forum to belong to, as they say copying ids the best form of flatteryClapClapClapClapClapClap

So admin who in the CSA structure "leaned" on you? Were you threatened with legal action?

Although Admin may have done the right thing in some regards, there are some points that need to be registered:

It is a concern that the hub has to enforce discipline when someone close to the CSA is spilling confidential information.  Why can the CSA not find this member and apply their discipline code on that member.  To try "kill" the hub is not solving the problem, as this member can simply PM HR or Sean Bardenhorst or Adel Tait, who will then print the "Scoop" in their publications.

Secondly, any inistiution that fails to satisfy the "grips" of its consitutency runs the danger expereinced by the French and Russian nobility.

LAstly, if the CSA was really transparent and democractic its members would have been informed bmo a newsletter of the nominations for the board.  Just to stir, I nominate Crux as chairman of CSA, HR for PR, Adel Tait for Communication and Publicity, Attie/koos Koekomoer for development and Grey Owl for team selections
