What was Valverde thinking getting into the break? And what was the point of the other two Movistar riders in the break? I was under the impression they had come to the tour to try and get Quintana a win. They don't even work for each other. I like Porte, he just makes such stupid decisions on a bike.Martin pushing for a podium spot and I really hopes he gets it. tombeej Posted July 10, 2016 Share Unlikely with a stage like this... but then again, he did attack on the descent too. http://www.letour.fr/PHOTOS/TDF/2016/1000/PROFIL.png The sort of textbook stage the organisers create for the breakaway specialists: start with a big climb right off the bat, followed by a loooong downhill, and then a few bumps in the finale to promote those in the break to start attacking each other.  And the finish has been created specially for a punchy type like Sagan, Matthews, Alaphilippe to attack on the last hill which looks like it comes straight out of a spring classic: short and steep.
