Gen Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Huh.. They only test a handful of riders every day. Wtf man http://www.businessinsider.com/tour-de-france-drug-testing-2016-7
Joe Low Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Let's entertain ourselves with a mini comp to see who can come up with the best chirps / photoshopped pics / memes / new nicknames for riders, etc. from the first week of the TDF. Gallopin' Tony Aptly named for when he's on the charge.
tombeej Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 winner winner chicken dinner Eish, that was a short comp!!

shaper Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Looking at the profile for Thursday, I don't think the run in to Ventoux is hard enough.. I don't think we'll see a major sort out, maybe a little one... or maybe Froome goes and gets another minute or 2, he has become quit unpredictable, it's left us all and his competitors with a case of 'koppie krap'Rode up the route last year September what seems as a flat run in to the start of the real climb (9%) is quite undulating, but wont be much of a consideration for the tour. You hit a turn as you enter the forrest section and then start climbing vertically for ever!! Will be watching and reminiscing
shaper Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Bit I enjoyed most about riding up Ventoux was reading (through bleeding eyes) all the writing still on road from previous years.... and trying to ignore the km markers telling you how far to go, the altitude and the gradient. Flattens out around 6kms from the top near the chalet (to around 6%) to finish.... if there going to be an attack would expect it just before the chalet

Froome likes Ventoux.. wonder if Quitana will make a move or just stock up on super glue.
