'Dale Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 "A two-minute gap to Froome is big. I can’t remember a time that I took two minutes from him in a TT or a mountain stage, but I am in the form of my life.” Mollema
'Dale Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 "I came to the Tour de France without any ambitions for GC; I'm at the second rest day, and I'm in third place in the GC. Anything from here is a bonus." Yates
'Dale Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I've shown over the 2016 season to date that "I am in great shape and I look forward to going to Rio to represent my country and hopefully we as a team come back with a medal from the road race.” Cummings, exiting le Tour after replacing the out-of-form Kennaugh in the British Olympic team
Mntboy Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 According to cyclingnews http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/tour-de-france-movistar-seek-alliance-with-astana-to-take-on-froome/ there might be a chance Movistar and Astana team up. In my opinion, they have to try and break Sky before the last climb. Go hard right from the first climb. Sky likes to pace, because they have trained like that and they know exactly where their threshold is. Try to eliminate them through the whole stage. No use waiting for the last climb with 3 or 4 Skyborgs protecting Froome. If somehow Movistar and Astana form an alliance, it would definitely make it very interesting. And remember, Froome has never been his absolute best in the third week while other riders actually excel.Ja that's a fine plan but I think that Movistar should rather look too Trek and BMC to aid them rather than Astana. Mollema and Porte seem in decent form and neither has had a bad day, in fact they had looked on par with Froome until the incident on Ventoux. If anyone's got a chance it's gotta be those two. I am hoping that Richie can avoid his one bad day bleeding shedloads of time syndrome firmly in the past. He has been pretty decent so far this year! Sent from my GT-S6790 using Tapatalk

dev null Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I think Purito is gonna go for a stage win tomorrow since it is his last tour, and that finish is just the way he likes it.
Lexx Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 The way Froome is riding this year's TDF Is pretty exciting... I hope he attacks on the last big climb and leave wheelsucker Quintana behind.ATM Quintana/Moviestar doesn't have an answer to Froome's/Team sky power riding.
Bonus Posted July 19, 2016 Author Posted July 19, 2016 Will be sorry not to see MC race into Paris :-(
Stretch Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Will be sorry not to see MC race into Paris :-( yeah kinda bummed about that...
Gen Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 yeah kinda bummed about that...Yeah.. but no surprise really.. we all kinda knew before the tour started that he wouldn't stay till Paris
Bonus Posted July 19, 2016 Author Posted July 19, 2016 What's between where they are now and Paris would do Cav more harm than good.
andydude Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Froome says he is on track to be at his best in week 3 and rumour has it Nairo is ill.[emoji53][emoji15] so much for my ill informed opinion!
