Hey Gerald. Well done on a superb event. One of the best yet.

The organisers feel this was one of the best we've had.

Sure, there were a few problems, with the motor vehicle accident being a big one, as well as the VA's catching the Elites.

11 cyclists reported injured, and one volunteer in the kitchen, it's a low amount but not low enough.

Non of those problems where your fault. And let's face it, only the one problem about us catching the elites is the one you can maybe do something about. So set all that aside it was faultless.

There were a few other hidden problems like a missing cooler box with all our refreshments in. The guilty party will be fined for that. [emoji3]

Edit: eventually found on the sweep vehicle @ 13:20.

who did the photos?

Depends which ones you''re looking for.

Jetline Action Photo were the race photographers.

Cycle Nation, and others in the report were all pulled from Twitter

Came across this photo from 2015, with some rough surfaces at 16km into the race.

Do you have to clean the roads markings after the race or do you just leave them to warn motorists?

If you do have to clean it up, what paint do you use that's easy to wash off?

The markings disappear within days.

In earlier years we had a sweep vehicle covering up the road markings, as the paint tended to stay on for longer.

Right, some news for November:

We've applied, and been granted approval for, both a MTB event (Saturday) and the Road event (Sunday).

5-6 November 2016.

Am I nervous? Yes.

Looking forward to it? Yes.
