R20-25 000, that's the easy part. Sub 10kg, that's the difficult part! I would also guess your luck will be better buing 2nd hand. New bike with good wheels and a top drivetrain is going to cost you more, or it will weigh more.

My mate just sold his bianchi methanol which I sold him some time back, he resold it after a year or two for R15k , it's def sub 10, new sub ten 29er I seriously doubt it

I am actually getting very close. Bought a new Bergamont Revox Ltd for 20k last month- 10.8kg.(2x10 setup)Busy replacing wheels, seatpost and handle bar with new parts from Tri-cycles.(Cost 5k)Will manage to get down to 10.1kg incl.pedals. So after I sold the original parts,I will have a net spend of 24k. Dropping the last 100g will be a bit more tricky. It can he done, but takes quite a bit of homework. The advantage of the Bergamont frames, is that they only weigh 965 grams, so it gives you sone room to maneuver. Good luck

giant xtc advance , with carbon everything else and  1 x drive train will weight in at 9.3kg so you'll need to look for something second hand at that price
