You need to get up to the Bay of Islands, too, that's one of my favourite spots, just stunning. patches Posted May 2, 2016 Share On Saturday I had an awesome little day trip to Hanmer Springs.It's about a 1h40min drive from Christchurch, which takes one through countryside, wine lands, and all sorts of other amazing scenery. Very alpine feel to the little town. Some good trails out in Hanmer. This was just the ring road, but up in the hills there were some nice flowy fun ones.
