Not really, you want to get the benefits for both running and cycling, then you need to pay for each. They have done the math and do not want to loose, like any casino, they always win.

Does it mean that you can get up to R3000 per quarter  (as opposed to R1500) back if you do enough running AND cycling events?

Hi Armpies, I struggle to get out of bronze status but as far as I know I have done all my assessments online? Confused as to how you say its easy to get to Gold. I am on livingvitality as well so upload all garmin workouts, non smoker declarations etc, Is their a page somewhere that advises on how to get there quicker?

(I presume you are a broker or deal with it?)

Click on each of the sub headings to bring up the various activities you can do. Then follow the link.

Basically a fitness test (biokinetikist); Health Check (Clicks) and a nutrition test gives lots of points if you're fit and healthy

I'll confirm that, but I presume so. They're separate benefits within the Team Discovery thing. I'll come back here with an answer.

Okay

It's a global limit. So the limit is the same if you register for one or both.

Will confirm the status re husband / wife tomorrow.

As Gerald says... online assessments only get you up to about 10,000 points or so for a single member.

Big points scorers are:

Non smokers declaration - 5000 points

screening checks (clicks or dischem - BP/CHOL/GLUCOSE/HIV) - 14,500 (I think)

Fitness assessments (twice a year) - 15,000 points

There are others that you can do as well, but those are the basic ones. The online assessments make up the rest.

Also log you outdoor events/races, up to 5000 points for a race/event depending on distance and bonus points of 5000 for your fifth event/race... I think you can log up to 15000 points just on races and up to 10000 bonus...

Not sure of the actual number, but I think it's actually 2,500. Or 5,000. I dunno. It's been a long day...

6000 points for the first visit, plus 3000 bonus points if you have you weight accessed on the first visit and it's within the healthy zone.

Here's the info from the website:

Vitality members, 18 years and older, can earn up to 11 000 Vitality points for learning more about their eating habits at a Vitality Wellness Network dietitian. You will earn 6 000 Vitality points on your first visit, 2 500 Vitality points on your second visit and 2 500 Vitality points on your third visit.

If you have your weight assessed, you’ll earn 500 Vitality points. If you’re at a healthy body weight, you’ll earn 2 500 bonus points. Points for a weight assessment can only be earned once a year. If you do not earn bonus Vitality points, because you are not in a healthy range, you can have your weight assessed at any time after the consultation. Then, if you are within the healthy range, you will get your bonus points.

Your Vitality points will be automatically awarded and will show on your Vitality Points Monitor within a week. The dietitian will send us your results.

The consultations can only be done by a dietitian who is part of the Vitality Wellness Network. You won’t earn Vitality points if you go to a dietitian who is not part of the network.

The rules of attending these consultations are subject to change. We will let you know if there are any changes and any Vitality points you earn before the change will still be valid.

Fitness points come from:

Outdoor sports events (easiest way to accumulate the 15000 points);

Gym visits;

Fitness device use;

And many others - but only one activity per day counts for the activity (the highest getting preference)

From the website:

Keep in mind that you can earn a maximum of 15 000 Vitality points for fitness activities per member per year. There is also a yearly maximum of 24 000 Vitality bonus fitness points.

Points will only be awarded for one fitness activity a day. If you complete two fitness activities in one day, then the higher points between the two will be awarded.

Thanks Gerald. Just been one of those days.

I know the feeling.

Assuming you're in the game, the last thing you want to do is do more of it.
