So got the call from Torque Zone, it has arrived, so now to just jump in and go for it.

Nice dude, let us know how it goes... but before you drill anything, give that bike a damn good wash man! :P

There she is, all done and dusted, had a rebleed to do after installation due to high levels of excitement when cutting the hose and shaking it around furiously in anticipation of the final product. Here's hoping I don't see my arse in a few months due to "catastrophic failure"

@G00SE - I Agree, definitely in need of a decent cleaning. Left it dirty to reflect on some awesome riding last week in Karkloof.

Looking good!!!

Not something I would try, every squeak or sound would have me panicking in fear for my life.

Looks good just a question so the Ali frames that come standard with a hole, pre drilled  for stealth routing(well mine is more like a slot than a round hole) ...has the frame been specially manufactured that that spot is reinforced or do they just drill a hole in the frame and we just assume the manufacturer has done it properly ....and should i worry about the 32 holes no 33 in my wheel rim.

Enjoy the new dropper post.

I must say, when my bike squeaks or rattles I do get a little nervous haha, I'm sure the tube can handle it, looking at it its mostly the bottom bracket taking all the strain with forces traveling along the down tube to the front fork and the swing arm to the rear wheel, forces in a seated position go down to the top pivot and top tube and along to the wheels, I'm not a engineer but from my basic understanding of force distribution I think the seat tube should be okay. On a hard tail I think I might stress a little more regarding a aftermarket drill mod in the seat tube.

I would assume bikes that come with a hole/slot for Stealth routing had those holes designed in from the R&D stage, so I would definitely trust a bike that came with a slot out of the factory. If it fails atleast there is still a warranty unlike my bike lol

Oh and as for the forces generated on the seattube and where and how they get distributed and load sharing that goes with it, I am speaking under correction, so do feel free to correct me :)

Definitely reinforced. My "slots" for cable routing on my trance frame have a pronounced lip all around.

Even spoke holes are reinforced.

Yoh dude, let's just hope ur name will not change to smoking ass in days to come. Your bold move is inspirational or just plain stupid.I must admit, it looks damn good man. Pls keep us posted as to how its holding out so that we too can "inspire" others. Enjoy the reverb

Haha thanks Sparki 1, I'm sure hundreds of guys have drilled their frames, I mean it's in our "nature" to modify, "fix" and tune things, so there must be plenty modifications similar to what I did and Google yields very very few results of modifications as above gone wrong, so time will tell and I'll keep updating. :)

My Parkwood frame drilled on the downtube for a dropper ...

No issues so far and I've bottomed that 150 out a few times already ..

AWESOME SKOTT5,I like that green and black scheme. glad to see someone else with a drilled tube for Stealth dropper :) How many km's would you guess you have done thus far after you drilled your frame for the Dropper?

Frame was drilled as it came out of the box before the first ride even :w00t: , and I've had it about 4 months now, but I've given it beans in that time and so sign of issues at all.

I don't forsee any problems
