The Sheriff out training in cold, windy and miserable weather conditions this morning in preparation for The Munga 2016

(not the best pic due to corrugation  )

That Lauf fork is brilliant over corrugation, i personally think it's the perfect weapon for the Munga. He was also testing his newly built front wheel with the Exposure dyno hub and light set. Very impressed.

Right, so now I am back from holiday and with the reminder that there are only 10 weeks left.

I am now riding an ergo fitted giant anthem 650b which has had the wheels upgraded to flow ex with hope hubs ...................................... and a new saddle. And the new saddle may be a problem. I have been on two shortish rides since returning from the holiday, and have bad saddle chaffe.

I am going to ride for a week or so more and if this rubbing continues I am going back to my old saddle.

But!! In terms of riding, be it the wheel size, the actual wheel set or the bike as a whole, man it goes fast. I am covering more ground, faster with less effort than on the Titus. Be it because of the bike, or for whatever reason, I am feeling confident that my fitness is going to be ok for the Munga, it is just a matter of will my body (aka ass) be ready .

Glad you're feeling on track again

I have just seen the trade in with Bryton on a potential 530.

The spec sheet shows a potential battery life of 33 hrs. Does anyone know if this is marketing gumph, or is it real?

Does anyone have any experience with the bryton HR units at all ? It is priced way below the price point of a garmin and with the trade in (have an old polar) seems to be well priced.

Would be good to hear from those who have actually used the unit.

EDIT: the 330 has 36 hrs ... now that is not bad if true.
