Face book page KNYSNA CYCLING, or CYCLING KNYSNA, will fill you in a bit.

Otherwise contact knysna Cycle works

Or

CycleWorx in Sedgefield

Or Facebook page Plett Cycling or The Bike Shop.

There's a new Bike Park at Cairn Brogie farm, airport Rd, Plett.

Any suggestions for road cycling in Knysna?

Out on the N2 via Natures valley to Storms river is lovely and then out to George up Outiniqwa pass is also a good ride.

This will be my first December since I started riding (Dec 2012) that I do not go MTB in Knysna!!

I am sad. There are some really awesome trails. The cycling shops usually have some brochures and they're very helpful.

Yes.  Going East you have descent yellow lane all the way.  Going West mostly as well but as Pure Savage said the Kaimans river pass does not have a shoulder but the speed limit is low.  It is about 2 - 3 km if I remember correctly.  I did not have any issues and found the most people pass you wide on there and it is double lane.  However you will be there in December.  Have not ridden there in Peak season.

To get round Kaimans pass you can pull into wilderness and go up the tar road there and then go over the old tar pass and come out in George, it's a bit steep but a great ride

Pity I did not know about that one the last time I was there.  Comming from George the Kaimans pass is not a problem. Mostly downhill.
