JohnnyReggae Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I have created an Endomondo challenge for the 2016 Commuters Challenge. There were a few active participants for last year's challenge. The challenge is a personal one to track and challenge yourself to ride those extra km's especially on days when you really don't feel like it. Can I ask that people do not track the following as commutes:a. Training ridesb. Racesc. Stationary bike ridesd. Slowone Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 if the challenge is to ride the most commuting km in one year .....i will most probably end up last .... I have the good fortune to be able to commute to work dressed in my work clothes .. I commute all of 1 100 m to work ....i commute 4 days a week. rain or shine ... lets say 50 weeks for the year...that is an entire 440 km for the year .... a buddy of mine does that commute in about 7 days

We need to seriously get people to start cycling to work. The City is reluctant to spend money on cycle lanes due to not many people commuting to work on their bikes. It's a bit of a catch22 though. Because people don't want to cycle due to it being unsafe. I am lucky enough to be living close to a cycle way. Let's do this!!

cat-i Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Joined. Have connected Endomondo to Garmin Connect, but none of the workouts picked up. I assume it can't upload history, but hoping that future workouts will automatically connect.
cat-i Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Was a brilliant challenge, thank you Johnny. I'm at 1734 at the moment; will have to plan the next few days very carefully if I still wanted to make that 2000 for the year before the holiday period starts.

J∆kk∆ls Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Haha my 10km a day will get me nowhere. I am following someone on Strava that commutes from Noordhoek to the V&A Daily. About 37km each way!
