I am still struggling to watch any rugby. Downloaded, Sportsdevil,Zentv, castaway but still no link is working.

Sportsdevil, then sports tv, then MamaHD, rugby is usually on sky sports 3

else in Sportsdevil, then live sports, then hunt through any of the listed names, then either playing now or under rugby and find a working stream

Try Phoenix. Sports TV link and then there's a sports live link. All live events are there. Usually multiple links per event. Very reliable.

Been watching soccer and cricket there with no problem

I've just loaded MOBDRO onto my firestick and spent an hour going through it.

It seems, after the first hour anyway, that you don't need anything else!!!!!

Probably even do away with KODI.

Mobdro is fine if you only want to watch Live shows . I.e sport news etc.

But Kodi kills all other apps and services for streaming shows and movies. Also intergration of downloaded libraries and creation of a streaming library is just brilliant.

What is the easiest way to spread WIFI throughout the house...

1) Replace the 'free' router (TP-LINK AC1750) with one of these RT-AC3200 is a tri-band 802.11ac router (my ebucks would pay for it)

2) Buy a WIFI signal booster / extender

3) Pull a LAN cable to the other side of the house and connect my spare router?

Any ideas and suggestions welcome! Thx.

Would any LAN cable do?

Takealot has the below for R199 - I'll need about 30 meters.

Astrum Network Patch Cable Cat5e 30.0Meter - NT230

If you can, get a quote from your local computer shop. They usually pretty reasonable and can make up any length that you need. Had a 25m Cat5e cable made up a while ago for less that a Mandela.

2. will be the easiest. Make sure the extender is placed in an area with good signal, AND can provide signal to the deadspot.

3. Two routers on the same network comes with its own sets of problems (different IP address ranges which do not speak to each other, or IP address clashes (it can be configured around these). Also most routers require some juggling to obtain an "upstream" IP address (can the router be used for a fibre connection? might be the easiest question to ask to know the answer

4 Other option (around R900-1800?) You can extend your network by injecting into the powergrid in the house! http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/8-things-powerline-adapters-need-know-first/

I bought the X-player media player last week from Mantality for R1,545.

It comes pre-loaded with a million add-ons.

Finding movies and series to stream is easy but finding the right add-on and channel to stream live sport is so difficult - any tips on how to make life easier? I added sportdevil, but how does one know what channel to check... Google didn't help.

Specs of the X-player:

  • OS Version: Android 6.0 CPU: S912 Octa-core cortex-A53 | GPU: Mali-T820MP3 | Processor Speed (max): 2.0GHz
  • RAM: 2GB Internal Memory: 16GB External Memory: Support up to 32GB
  • Display Resolution: 4K Supported Video Resolution: 4K (2880x2160P)
  • Wi-Fi: 802.11 b/g/n, Dual Band (2.4GHz + 5GHz)
  • Bluetooth
  • Google Play
  • Kodi 16.1 / XBMC
  • Ports OPTICAL
  • Micro SD Card Slot: up to 32GB AV RJ45 HDMI 2x USB DC IN
