Joeboy69 Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 Kodi app on phone: hmm sounds interesting, in my reading haven't gotten any mention of it... can you point me in the right direction? GThe app is for the remote to control Kodi rather than Kodi itself. Readily available in both app stores, links to both in earlier posts (not on phone so can't copy link for you)

With Smart TV's and Fetch TV Mighty box (STB's), it's not very useful now. Before having a Smart TV and a STB, it was the dogs nuts! I'm pretty interested in ordering an Amazon Fire Stick here however and trying the side-load option Stretch mentions to get Mobdro on it and woking. Then I'll be sorted with enough to watch.

Android box or like me an old PC laptop with HDMI output. Make sure you are hardwired in.DO NOT RELY ON WIFI for seamless streaming, you will pull your hair out and have less than I already do. I went through this battle as I only used wifi when I started and almost went back to dare I say D S T V On my 25mb up and down line the wifi ping is average 24ms and I get the throughput just fine, hardwired in my ping is 3ms to at worst 5ms with the same throughput and the stream is seamless. Not a single jitter or jump streaming 1080p

Grebel Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 My old box was connected via WIfi which was approximately 15m away and through 3 walls. A few seconds delay between voice and video while streaming from a shared folder on the PC. Never tried online streaming. Ran an ethernet cable and life was bliss after that.
