Advise please, Front wheel off centre

I had a similar issue on a Manitou R7 fork.  The cutout of the fork lower where the quick release sits was slightly deeper on the one side causing the wheel to sit skew.  I filed the other side deeper until the wheel sat square in the fork.  It did not require too much filing as 1mm makes a big difference.  Do so at your own risk though, probably best to ask your lbs to check for this.

Funnily enough It looks like this is also a Manitou fork.

Are your runnig cup and cone hubs? There could be spacers missing resulting in a off centre hub and there for off centre rim

Not sure, These are my current hubs. hope the pic helps

It's a bit difficult to see in pictures, did you have the hubs serviced and there after the problem started?

No these are brand new, I have had the problem with my previous wheels as well.

Take your wheel out, turn it around and put it back in with the disc on the opposite side to the caliper (Dont pull the brakes.)

If the tire is still off to the same side then something is wrong with the fork.

If the tire is off to the opposite side by the same amount then something is wrong with the wheel.

Ok I tried this and almost broke my spokes, I turned the wheel around but the calaper is in the way

Strange but, yeah don't force it if it won't work.

Not sure if it's the angle of the photo, but that fork looks skew to me.

Why not remove the wheel, let the lowers touch the floor and draw little pencil lines on the floor to see if it is skew.

I have the same with my front wheel. 3mm clearance on one side and about 20 mm on the other side. When I had the wheel rebuilt, the mechanic did not centre the rim. So it's off centre but runs true. The spokes on one side were tightened too much so the rim moved.

I think it needs to be dished or something like that. Basically the wheel must be rebuilt. Never got round to it yet.

Take yours to a wheel builder.

I really doubt that a brand new Easton Haven wheel will be out of dish, not impossible but I doubt it.  The OP has had this problem with 3 different sets of wheels as well, so pretty sure there is an issue with the fork.

If possible, put your wheel into somebody else's bike and vice versa... That will also give you a good idea.

It does sound like it's either the fork, or you're the unluckiest guy on the planet with front wheel builds.

i have the same problem with my old 26er Rockshox SID fork. Wheel is tilted in the fork. The cut-outs that holds the skewer is the problem. The same thing happens when you swop out wheel. Put your wheel in another fork and see it the problem persists. That will give you your answer.

I see this was also mentioned by PeterF. Did you get it fixed?

Not sure if it's been said but it might be a silly little problem if you're running quick releases. If you put the tapered spring in the wrong way  then the spring sits on top of the axle because and results in a wheel that sits off centre. I have seen it many times when my rental bikes are returned to me :/
