You think it was the bike?

My sarcasm font is not working today

Personally, I think that the deal the OP can get is an excellent one and as long as the bike is the correct size, he should consider taking it very seriously

Okay so I went to view bike today and decided to pass on the offer.

Frame had some scratches on, some of the bolts on the components were rusted. The spokes on the wheels felt very rough as well like they were rusted even though they seemed to roll okay. Bike wasn't very well maintained though. Very dirty. Components full of grease an that kinda put me off. Why are people so lazy to clean their bikes? My bike is freaking spotless.

Could you see any obvious damage?

I would have offered R3k and cleaned it up :whistling:  :whistling:

like cracks on the frame?

I gave it a thorough check and couldn't spot anything. There were plenty of paint chips though.

He wouldn't budge on the 5k. I've always told myself that if you're hesitant don't go for it and I was hesitant.

So just an update on this. I managed to pick up this beauty instead.

Looks a bit outrageous with those wheels though so I might opt to sell them. But I'm pretty chuffed with the deal. The only thing I'm hesitant on is the components as its some weird make but I'll give it a try first. Otherwise I'll just put on a 105 group set. post-46814-1454357967,7553.jpg

Raleighs are brilliant. The RC6000c is bit on the heavy side (for carbon), but at 5k, its a good buy for sure. 105's are great and aksiums are bombproof. A very decent bike all in all.

Edit: didnt read till the end... Ignore above said comment

I reckon that looks pretty damn awesome with those wheels - would have looked super hot if it was all on a black frame, but at that price the frame can always make a visit to Bogus... ;)

i was actually thinking of having a respray by bogus in matte black. But the current frame is literally brand new so I guess I'll see.

Here are some pics of the components. Anybody know anything about nrz?

Well if it's a brand new frame then I wouldn't spray it...

Keep the wheels for racing, buy some training wheels for every day use.

Good looking bike and price!

Those wheels definitely need to stay, they're really lekker.
