tombeej Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Tony Martin once ruled time trials and tried grand tours, but says his focus is now on the cobbled classics. “I want to transform to a classics rider for the spring, for the classics. I’m no longer suited to the big classification races, that was the past, when sports directors pushing me in Highroad. That’s not really my area. I feel more comfortable in the classics, I think they suit me better. Also look at the surroundings. Being in this Belgian team with the attention the team gives the classics … You really feel it!”
Long Wheel Base Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 So.. I am watching it again.. Yes.. I know.. but I am glad.. watching live with all those nerves I missed some things.. 1.. I don't think Fabs had the legs at that moment to chase down kwai, Sags and Sep or even go with Sep Or 2. He underestimated them 3. The Wanty guys expression and action when that trio caught the Greipel group..priceless 2.6km to go.. if I spot more cool things I will tell you all about itI still have the last lap of world champs on my pvr and it has been watched numerous times( well only the last 4kms)

tombeej Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Tiesj Benoot still wants to ride Paris-Roubaix despite his injuries. I’ve been through a lot of tough guys in the races, but this is exceptional,” team boss Marc Sergeant told Belgium’s Het Nieuwsblad newspaper. tombeej Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 What's the weather forecast for the weekend? Looks like today through to Sunday, every day is a mix of rain/drizzle with the sun poking out every now and then. On Sunday the forecast says overcast with a good chance of rain as well. The wind is SE @ 20 km/h+, which means a cross tailwind pushing the riders all the way home. And as we know, a tailwind makes it very difficult to chase down a break. Breakaway specialists love a tailwind. So these conditions favour aggressive riding from very strong riders who are willing to take a risk and attack from far out. I still say this day is looking like its tailor-made for a team like Quick-Step. Even Sky will be a big favourite.
