Can anybody recommend a decent bike computer that will record, as a minimum, speed, distance, altitude, cadence and lap times.

I would want to upload those training files to a PC

It can't have a GPS function

Thanks

If you have an Android phone go to the app store and download ipbike. Test it out and if you like it after a million wheel revolutions you can buy it for R99.

Best bike computer out there. By a mile.

I agree, If you're on a budget phone apps are awesome!

You can also add a couple of goodies like HR monitors to them.

Why can it NOT have GPS?

One of 2 reasons?

1. He is riding to his stukkie's house and wants no record of where it is.

2. Maybe the bike thieves can see where you live.

Or maybe he lives on the moon and the GPS does not work there?

Can one not just turn it off?

You're not allowed a GPS device when competing in RASA or R2R.

Gets bit grey re a phone but most of the time you're lucky if your smart phone can make a call on that route, nevermind access data.
