That's not really an accomplishment. The whole idea is to have useable travel.

A bike shouldn't blow through its rear travel, yet so many vpp bikes suffer from it as well - (lack of)mid stroke support but it should be able to use (near) all of it. You should reconsider the number of homemade tokens you're running in your shock.

I know.

Since it's a work in progress I just aimed to have:

1. plush initial stroke (sag if you will)

2. not blow through the mid stroke.

3. not bottom out.

Those 3 isn't the easiest boxes to tick on a single pivot bike.

Was just mentioning it as it's somewhat of a negative (characteristic) with the older single pivot bikes.

Just made the spacers & fitted it & I was happy (for now) with the outcome.

Might remove some spacers if I feel the need to, but like the way it handles & I am constantly taking bigger drops / jumps so eventually may be using all of it. Or close to.

It pedals very well with this setup / 'tuning' too.

I don't even bother with the 'lockout'

That's it, after a night of reminiscing and sulking I've decided. My mission for this year is to get back an Orange. They still stand out as the 'funest' bikes I've ever ridden and the five was just perfect. Will be interesting to get a test on a four when I'm over in june with an empty bike bag and a few bloated invoices for UK clients. :)

I'm sacking the intense I was haggling on. This is haaaaaawwwwwt.

I can't "like" posts - something to do with internet settings at work. But I like this. I spent many an hour perving over Orange Fives buzzing (hope or chris king hubs were mandatory) down a welsh trail. Good luck with the mission.

I seem to remember some 19 year old lightie from PMB taking the world cup title away from the Alien in 2001 on an industrial looking single pivot bike.....

There is something very appealing about a simple swing arm  single pivot like the Orange and the Morewoods. The Zula is still one of the best looking bikes there is. Orange are not great in the styling dept, but this one looks great in Silver.

Many of your wishes should be realised. We're trying to push the enveloppe of what a single pivot design can do, as well as looking good and modern at the same time.

Just hang on for a little bit longer

Hows about some leaked pics to stoke the fire a bit?

I too have spent a lot of hours over the years dreaming about the 5, perhaps this 4 would make a great new bike to replace my Zula........then again, I really still like my Zula.

Sounds great!

Hope you've seen our "requests" :whistling:

It's still a work in progress, a few items need to be finalised, but once the design is final, I'm sure we'll release "sneak peaks" (or a full preview) before production starts. We know you guys want to see something, but let's not jump the gun!

Jumping the gun is a right of passage .........
