Would like to wear one HR strap which will show on my Garmin Edge 500 willst riding and that will be picked up by my iPhone 6 and which will show on Strava. Thanks! ^_^

Probably any one that transmits on both bluetooth and ant+

Something like the Wahoo TickR?

http://www.wahoofitness.com/devices/hr.html

From their website:

"Equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 and ANT+ dual-band technology, the TICKRs work with both GPS devices and smartphones. Now you only need one heart rate monitor to connect to all of your training devices."

There is no one HRM, Garmin is Ant+ and Iphone is bluetooth unless you get an Ant+ dongle.

You can just record with your Edge, upload to Garmin Connect and automatically sync to Strava.

It is what I do and works flawlessly, as soon as you upload to GC the sync is almost immediate

Edit: seen what Typhoon wrote with regard with regard to a dual HRM, so there is an option

For the Garmin you'll need a ANT+ HR strap.

As far as I know that's the only one that works with Garmin.

There are different brands but as long as it's ANT+ it will work with Garmin.

I'm guessing that Apple has an ANT+ app since it's available for Android and I think that it can be paired with a ANT+ HR Strap.

You can also link Strava to Garmin Connect and when you upload the data from your Garmin to Garmin Connect it will automatically send it to Strava.

Thanks! Have been going this route, but thought that there may be a "one only" solution....like a Ant+ HR monitor, that also has Bluetooth 4!!

If you are riding with your edge 500 all the info is there including HR, so you don't need to have your phone in front of you.

Once uploaded to GC you can then view and analyse your ride on strava via the automatic sync.

wahoo HR strap with iphone, run the wahoo fitness app upload all the workouts from there to any app, works really well better that way. 1 app to control them all.

2 options on takealot.com:

tickr heartrate belt - ZAR999

tickr X heartrate belt - ZAR1,799

BOTH appear to be ANT+ AND Bluetooth4 ("dual band technology")

There are a few options out there.

Mio Link also make a arm band

Wahoo one

scosche rhythm+ Only available from states (Scosche doesn't ship international) or 3ed parties (Clevertraining.com was recommended by scosche)

DC Rainmaker has a review on these and gives you a good overview of options provided by each.

I am currently looking at Rhythm+ if i import 2 and some Fenix straps order total + shipping is about $200

No duties means add 14% tax and clearance fee when landing.

Edit:

Take into account current Garmin Premium HRM R1400 and HRM-Run/tri/swim editions runs towards R2200
