:cursing:   aramex it is

The problem I have with Aramex Global Shopper is that you pay double VAT. German Vat (Bike24) because it gets shipped to a local address and then Vat when it arrives here...

Shipping seems to be a headache (for us in SA) with most international online stores. :(

You're shopping at the wrong stores.

You're shopping at the wrong stores.

Not all personal experience, but rather what I've heard from others.

I did have a 3 week wait for Express delivery from CRC though.

Sigmasport (only use DHL Express) and they usually price match a lot of other EU stores.

Evans Cycles (also only DHL Express)

R2bike: edit same as Bike24

Ordered from each of these in the last month. All items received within 3-4 days. (Sigma and Evans, R2 was 8 days)

Sigma Sport charges less for their express shipping (R175) than bike24 does for DHL Paket.

R2 bike use DHL paket which connects with SAPO, sadly I know this as they stock some special products which got to SA in 3 days. But I've been waiting over a month so far. I bought something else from them, sent my courier and entire process was 8 days

You’re right just checked my order again. Got in in 8 days though.

You get confused when you have 4+ orders a month coming in.

(The other two mentioned are still definitely only express)

R2bike sells some of the good stuff that you don’t find on Bike24, but are also Germany based and uses Paket.

I'm waiting for some really good stuff from them (R2) so I can post my very, very lightweight but practical hardtail build. I'm tempted to post as is because I'm so pleased but I will be patient. Unfortunately SAPO really don't want me to have a light bike in a rush. I buy from Bike Discount also in Germany. They state DHL but its not. Doesn't bother me, I wait on average 2 weeks to get my stuff BUT it comes to PO in Nigeria. Not so sure SAPO is going to match that. Probably add 3 weeks....

Totalcycling, 3-4 weeks.

Bike24, 2-3 weeks.

Merlin Cycles, 4-5 days UPS

Bikebug, 4-5 days UPS

Starbiike, 2-3 weeks.

The SAPO strike has delayed things recently so they are dealing with a major backlog which they said would take 2mnths to clear. I have been waiting for a parcel from Total purchased 27 July. Its finally left JIMC a week ago on its way to Cpt, apparently.

I'm always curious to know how a 3 week strike causes a 2/3 month delay - I've been waiting for a Colnago stem sent from the UK by a friend that arrived in SA 3rd June - apparently that container has yet to be opened.  On the plus side I have some nice stuff from R2 and starbike that could arrive anytime, and long after the pain of the expense has disappeared.  These days you can pay off the card before the goods arrive
