taito Posted March 11, 2016 Share One thing not to forget is that small/light riders do not want to ride up mountains with a heavy soft tail. My older s works is 12.4 kg but there is a maxis ust on the back and its 2\10 xtr If I splash out 15k for a 1/11 and better wheels yes down to about 11kg For now im starting with 1/11 don't know if its the right way to go. I tested bikes back to back on the same trails and the heavier dually was unexpectedly faster on the uphills as well as technical, flat and downs. I have a Large 2014 Anthem X1 with 1 x 10 conversion, Wide Lightning wheels, Nobby Nic and Rocket Ron SS tubeless, ESI grips, Look STrack pedals, 720 alu flatbar, and it comes in at 11.6kg ready to ride.
