Fantastic event, friendly people and beautiful town. Good air-conditioning provided on route, with some mistyfiers provided through Middelwater & Meiringspoort, some strong winds to blow you dry + extra 10km as a bonus which we didn't need to pay extra on our entry fees. Had to stay in the bundles to save energy. No legs after 140km. Poep soup provided at the final two waterpoints helped me to the top of Swartberg and the finish in Prince Albert. Riders on cyclocross bikes definately had an advantage, bliksems. A must do event, again and again and again, well organised and well worth the 1165km x 2 trip. This event is going to get big! Perhaps hold the Medio Fondo on the Sunday so we can ride both :whistling:

Really was an epic ride. Would just like to point out that Mike Posthumus didn't upload his strava yet as he would be on top of the log. Hats off to everyone who completed that ride, Im really proud of that finishers medal!;)

What a awesome event, it was tough/windy/cold and I thought the organizer had a sick sense of humor closer to the end when I realized that there was the whole time 10km's more since the first distance markers started showing (but hey, its some free km's at the end of the day)

I felt sorry for some of the guys going of Swartberg Pass pushing their bikes and some of them screaming from the top of their lungs F&^%#

But I'm sure they were all happy to get that medal in the end, I will definitely be back and hopefully on a Gravel Bike, they were just flying past me on the tar downhill sections on my FS MTB. I'm also sure this event will still get a lot bigger.

Mike Posthumus did upload his Strava but looks like he forgot to start his gps at the start and only started it a bit later up the road from the show grounds.

Well done everyone - it was so freaking cold, we could only watched the first 50+ to come past and then ran for the Aga stove and coffee. Respect!

Well there was only 60 finishers so I think you covered most...
