Bruni

Ratboy

Gwin

Then the rest

That's a big call on the 'Gwinner'. You reckoning on him and his team having the YT dialed in and race ready?

Personally hoping Mr Min opens with a podium along with the Rat and Bruni and ol' Arrogwint no where near it.

He SPANKED everyone on that track last year. Plus he's still on Fox suspension. I reckon he's good value for the W.

I really hope not but that's me I guess. No doubt Arrogwint knows how to win a race and will probably be a major threat but I still wonder if he and his team has the bike dialed in. I guess we'll only get the answer on the 10th!

My relatively uninformed gut feel:

I think this will be a very interesting year for DH. I can't believe that Gwin will not have made sure his team has all the right ingredients to help him win. I think the bike he's on is very bit as good as any of the competition and he is a better rider than most of them.

That said Brosnan, Bruni and maybe Ratboy will still threaten. I am not convinced that Greg will be a threat but hope I am proved wrong. He has a habit of quietly getting on with business and consistently getting on the podium. Much as I would like to see Hill up there I have written him off as a title contender and the same with Gee.

In the women, Rachel will dominate with Mannon threatening but its a two horse race there barring injury to either of them.

Can't wait.

Manon took first place in the first race of the British series this last weekend, so hopefully that bodes well for her, but Rachel is one hell of a force to reckon with so I reckon she'll take it.

Honestly I think its his to loose...too much class. I mean he has won without a chain before...he is just that good.

Rat and Bruni I hope will podium...

Gone off GM....care less where he finishes.

Gwin is obviously a serious threat and focused on setup and getting his bike dialled but...look how long it took him to adjust to the spez after coming off of the session.

That said, YT makes the best bikes in the world and the super progressive leverage ratio could mean gwin doesn't have to run his shocks rigid and possibly he will be even stronger through a run.

I think gee has had some bad luck, same as sik mik but when he is on form he's tough to beat and tbh I think those treks are gonna spend a lot more time on the podium that the gt's ever did...because GT is *** lol

Careful saying that on here mate. That pretty much amounts to treason. Hehe.

Yeah I hear you. No doubting Gwin's class. He is a good racer. I think the most interesting thing to see will be how well he's adjusted to the YT. He has spoken highly of it's geometry so perhaps it is race ready but it's just as likely to be mind games. Again we'll only know for sure on Sunday.

As for GM I suppose you are allowed to support anyone you like!

Yea, true true...maybe just marketing spin he is putting out there...Sunday is where the talk meets the walk. Cannot wait

Yes indeed, neither can I.

Personally also hoping for good results for the Polygon boys (Needles and Mik). They had their struggles last year and it would be nice if they were in the running this year but again we'll see on Sunday.

Ladies challengers should really remain the same, I think. Can't see a winner who isn't named Rachel, Manon, Tahnee, Tracey or Myriam (even though she's currently injured).
