I have stood at the top of treehouse in cascades.........my aspirations of trying to ride like Nino ended right there.

Treehouse is awesome!!!

...on a trailbike with loads of travel, dropper, fat tyres, Take my hat off to the guys riding XC machines down there at speed.

Right now.

A 50W class A amp that I built myself, based on the Krell KSA.  Source is my Linn LP12 with Ittok and Ortofon 2M Bronze.  CD player is my old Rotel RCD 965BX.

Busy building a valve amp with EL34s and also a Nelson Pass designed First Watt M2.

BTW, those speakers are now retired.  I am using B&W Matrix 1s at the moment.  I also have a set of Ruark Crusader 2s that I am fixing.  The one speaker's mid dome driver is not quite lekker.

There is a new rock garden on the Helderberg Farm/Steilte downhill track that my son showed me the other day.  At first glance it looks hectic, but if you look carefully there is a nice line on the left.  Not that I will even think of attempting it on my steed.  Instant hospital entry waiting right there.

How? I have two old ones lying around I can mess with...

here is a pic of my first mod done. This was made from a few scrap things I could find in my garage.

Will get proper ends made as soon as i get the chance, only mod I did was on the gas shock, made it a bit shorter so when it returns its stops exactly where my seat should be.

Total cost  R30  for the shock.

PS. The shock needs to be oldish or a bit worn out. I use it when my droppers needs a service or.....pops its damn seals

Cool stuff. I had B&W's that were affirmatively shopped along with my Yamaha Natural sound Amp and DVD Player. All I had left are the speaker stands and a couple of metres of really nice speaker cable....

You'd be surprized just how small of a gap you can fit through. Some extra tiny ones may require a bit of a shimmy,, but that's easy enough. Still haven't yet found a gap on the trail that my 780s or 800's before that couldn't fit through.

I was told that my 740's is too wide for S2C...?

Dude, they bike aside.  Being so tall your centre of gravity is higher than average so your technique needs to improve.  lower your centre of gravity by riding with your heels down, this pushes the bike forward and stops your weight transferring to your hands.  Don't let the bike be your crutch, good technique is still what counts here.  If you have the foundation right on this bike, your next bike be it at 29er or 27.5er you'll be rocking it.

Hey, I am getting better.  Now that the stem is shorter, I can actually drop behind the seat.  So I am able to do drops much better. But I still suck at rock gardens.

I also still have an offer from Thermophage for a ride, which I will be able to take up sometime after this winter holiday.
