JDipstiek Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Hi Guys. Any truth to this news.... VERY interesting
LOOK695 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 What would it mean concerning pricing for the consumer if it is true?
Edge_Design Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 That would be a huge shake up for bike shops in SA if they get hold of CWC's suppliers... Would either be a big legal battle or a huge knock for some of the wholesalers.
Patchelicious Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 What would it mean concerning pricing for the consumer if it is true?Probably not much in either direction.
gummibear Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 What would it mean concerning pricing for the consumer if it is true?Prices will go up and no more asking for goods to be on sale.
JDipstiek Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 What would it mean concerning pricing for the consumer if it is true? Lets hope we get MORE great deals ALL over
Christian van Zyl Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Prices will go up and no more asking for goods to be on sale. Not necessarily... Cyclelab is pushing to be competitive in pricing, CWC might be just what they need... I just hope it stops the grey imports.
JDipstiek Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 Prices will go up and no more asking for goods to be on sale. That would suck.. They should rather adopt the CWC method.
Edge_Design Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Prices will go up and no more asking for goods to be on sale. The ProShop has some good sales quite regularly so hopefully it will give them the costing to allow them to bring that to their bike shops.
shaper Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I guess that says goodbye to online shopping.. and especially the fire sales and one day sales that CWC have here on the hub
LOOK695 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Prices will go up and no more asking for goods to be on sale.Maybe, but Cwc does good business with their sales
Rocket-Boy Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Not necessarily... Cyclelab is pushing to be competitive in pricing, CWC might be just what they need... I just hope it stops the grey imports. There is a fundamental problem somewhere when a bike shop needs to resort to grey imports. In this case Im pretty sure its a combination of prices and stock holding at the local agents. Shimano is a difficult one because they have different pricing models for wholesale and online sales etc.
