ROUTE DESCRIPTION

 

This great event offers three routes in the popular Grabouw Forest. The 10 km route is aimed at beginners and youngsters (grandparents also welcome!), while experienced MTB riders can tackle the challenging 50 km endurance event. This route requires technical experience to handle the fine single track, many jeep track climbs and exhilarating descents. Don’t feel like doing all those climbs? Then the 25 km is just right for you! Be warned, the two longer routes both include some long, steady climbs, but the stunning view makes up for the sweat. The single track sections will still have you raving about them weeks later.

If it is the same as last year then you loop back to the start venue after roughly the first 25km then head out in the other direction for the next 25km loop.

Impossible to end up at the wrong start venue, one is nearly in Bot Rivier & the other is Grabouw 16km's apart.

Was more tongue in the cheek But you are correct, it would have been more of an issue if the one start was at Paul Cluver and the other one at oakvalley

lol! earlier this year, on the same day, the nissan trail seeker was at Elgin Country Club & the routes overlapped at Oak Valley with the 24hour OV challenge, needless to say some riders ended up on the wrong route.

From 2012, I cant imagine it would've changed by much.

in 2017 it costs R140, not bad hey?
