Stick to a 130mm on the thunderbolt. Also check the warranty policy regarding max fork length.

Yes

Okay - so max fork travel is 130mm, and that's what the BC Edition has. Not 140 as I thought.

And yes.

Awesomeness, now all i need to get is a quote from LBS on a revelation and a pike in 130mm.  Then see what i can afford...really hoping the Pike is in my price range..though I doubt it...

I did look at the Yari when i looked on the RS website, but saw it was perhaps overkill for my use...(in fact I think it will take a long time  for me to even start to use or appreciate a Pike fully).

I run a Pike at 130mm on a 125mm trail bike. It is confidence inspiring and I get nowhere near the limits of the fork. Can recommend without reservation. If I had to be honest, for my level of riding, a Revelation would be more than overkill. HOWEVER:  This morning the Pike saved my under-skilled ass. Again. I'm not saying that a Revelation would not do the same, though. Both are brilliant forks.

Though the Yari is stiffer than the pike, it is the cheaper option. But not sure if it can run at 130mm...

Pike should be around the R16k mark (DVO the same)

Rev R11k

And is the Pike worth the extra 5k? IMO - no. Not at that travel.

Thanks for the honest opinion.
