bullet77 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 same. Just my multitool under my seat and a bottle in the cagePost a pic of the multitool under the seat please, I need to make a plan like that for short rides.
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 http://theradavist.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Mudville_Studio-9.jpgThat's a great solution - and dropper-friendly too.
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Post a pic of the multitool under the seat please, I need to make a plan like that for short rides.Don't have one with me now (will take a pic today before my ride if you want) but I have one of the PRO tools with a canvas pouch with velcro flap. All I've done is poke 2 holes in the pouch and cable tied it to the saddle rails. Easy peasy...
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 The Rules are clear... How extreme is your case? Untitled.jpgessentially, we don't give a shaite.
Johan A Marais Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 I don't take anything. That way I"m lighter and faster all the time when dominating segments. If I puncture or break a chain I can always rely on someone to help out with their carefully though out stash and that is 100% cash saving cos none of it's mine. If no one helps out it's bike on the shoulders and jog on... because cyclocross is so hot right now! I do not carry much, but never will I help someone with nothing i.e. people like you. You made your bed, so pick up your bike and run mate. Maybe I will see you at the coffee shop, probably not, as I will also not be hanging around to see if someone was stupid enough to help you.
Wannabe Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 The Rules are clear... How extreme is your case? Untitled.jpg Luckily I don't give a shite about these "rules" or what other people thinks.Form follows function. Used a saddle bag on both my Road and Mtb for a long time, still uses a bag on my roadie, and a "tool bottle" in an extra bottle holder mounted on seatpost. This keeps my tools nice and dry.
Beesrib Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Old water bottle with all the tools and bombs in the one water bottle cage. Running tubeless but spare tube on the seatpost with tape. Any food or spares in shirt pockets. Easy to swop between bikes.
Skott5 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 A saddle bag on a bike is like putting roof racks on a convertible .. This FTW http://i1355.photobucket.com/albums/q716/michaelp0617/71889b3fd4451263c94b1827cda73086_zpswzvqxmf1.jpg
splat Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Spare tube rolled up and taped to the frame under the bottle cage.Pump and tool bag in my pocket(Although, to be honest, i reckon my roadie pocket pump is a bit pansy for trailside use)

Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Must admit I like Josh Carlson's Enduro Bag... http://p.vitalmtb.com/photos/users/2/photos/103175/s1600_EWSChile16_26A9192.jpg?1458873291
scooby15 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Got one of these, only problem you need to use a spez saddle https://specialized.com/us/en/accessories/bandit/105618
splat Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Specialized has this Bandit saddle thingie, but it requires one of their SWAT compatible saddles because it screws into the underside. http://14761-presscdn-0-15.pagely.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Aneeke-Beerten-06381-810x540.jpg http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.imdserve.com/images/bikes-and-gear/components/saddles/1443417561093-1sav0pkgfyecz-960-540.jpg
