Must admit I like Josh Carlson's Enduro Bag...

The more space you have the more unnecessary crap you can carry around=more weight.

Seen quite a few of those on the trails

I won't say it to loud but i sometimes ride with a moonbag when i know I'm going to ride in the forest and have to take a few extra things with.

That will rub the paint off of the frame in next to no time!

I use a saddle bag, MTB only but I'm sure if I did the road thing I would use the same. Rather have a few show ponies laugh at my saddle bag than everyone laugh at me walking home.

snap!

I don't like the idea of tubes and tools exposed to mud like that.

And its not cheap either...

Just another marketing ploy.....and the guys at Spesch are good at that :whistling:

A small fall and those screws will break out.

I use a pocpac with:

2 sizes of Allen Keys, I think it's a 6mm and 4mm

Bomb and Bomb Valve Thingy

Cash (Notes only R100 bucks usually)

Tyre Levers

Spare Tube, taped/fastened to the frame

1 Bottle for general rides and a Hydration Pack for Longer Rides...

I have a love hate relationship with my Dakine back pack. The bladder just failed at the point the hose joins the bladder so last ride I stuck a 600mm bottle in my jersey pocket and left all my tools and *** behind. It was a great ride - no sweaty hot bag on my back and I felt much faster on the hills :-)

Its easy to make up a thick ziplock bag with all the essentials in it and use that but I don't always ride with a pocketed jersey. That #enduro bag actually looks pretty decent - where can they be bought?

Spare tube rolled up and taped to the frame under the bottle cage.

Pump and tool bag in my pocket

(Although, to be honest, i reckon my roadie pocket pump is a bit pansy for trailside use)

That Squirt Lube is a load of K@K... It gunks up on your chain, derailleurs, Crank Blades, practically everywhere...

Or maybe I just ride too litlle...

I prefer, White Lightining or Rock 'n Roll either one... Much cleaner, better lasting...

Specialized has this Bandit saddle thingie, but it requires one of their SWAT compatible saddles because it screws into the underside.

I'm sure that the bomb and levers will eventually fall out and then the loose tube will rub it's self a hole on the saddle. Alternatively when you need to use your spares you will first need to wash them cos they gonna be covered in mud! But hey, it looks good and has the right name, right?

I was thinking of going to the fabric warehouse and getting some canvas to make my own. That, or re-purpose an old neoprene laptop sleeve I have lying at home...

Haven't been able to find it online through a good search though. I think it's a custom job, and I *think* that Josh's nick is "the frother"... hence the tag.

Best of the lot though, IMO

I have frame tape there for shuttle days anyway, so it'll be fine...

When on road bike the few things you need fit into jersey. On MTB use hydration pack. I also have  droppers on all my bikes.

You guys keep using saddle bags and distributing your spares to all and sundry (some wet zips don't stay closed). On the Spruit a lot gets handed to me. I have a number of very expensive coded car keys here. In the beginning I used to post on FB and the Hub every time. Now I just collect them.
