capediver Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Thanks, she's still very sore and has 3 cracked vertebrae but no other complications so she should be fine in a month or two. I think we need to get Deon and Mark a helicopter. Dated: Crash - 45mins...stick this near her bed for motivation! and of course you on your cherry bomber!!!!
Duane_Bosch Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 This is one of the reasons races don't use strava to record results. I've bro trained down trails right on someones wheel and landed up almost 10 seconds 'slower' on Strava.. But now I no longer use Strava very much and if I do it's just to remind myself it's a silly way of getting caught up in a competitive side of social media that I am better off without. Tokai is riding sweet as cherry pie at the moment. In fact, I might even go now quickly before the rain arrives and the missus gets home from work.....Recorded a ride on my GPS on Monday and my mate who was riding with me all the time somehow managed almost 200m more in elevation on his phone. I use a gps and then that pumps into strava. Far more accurate. For me it's just a way to record my rides and be disappointed with myself at the end of the year for how little riding I actually did. Yes. LOVING Tokai at the mo. @Tim. Hope your lady heals up fast.

Headshot Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 We've all eaten dirt there at regular intervals over the years. I have almost fond memories of my first concussion and a few bashed rib incidents over the years... the price you pay for the most fun sport on the planet. *I can now add the worst bee sting to the list, sustained while hiking back up to find my wife :-)
