Yes, absolute yes!

The guy that left his bag and R8mil of Tik at Joburg International went to go and collect it yeserday.

Strange world we live in :w00t:

I am sure the "guy" that was waiting for him to bring the back to him had strongly suggest that he fetch the back "or - else" ..........

Yes. It's been like 9 years now. I hope she comes back though.

Bloody hell... Pining much?

Didn't anyone tell to move on already, if not, I'll tell... Move on bud, she ain't coming back...

Fair point and judging by the way he is lovingly stroking to top tube in the second pic he is probably not going to budge on his totally realistic price.

Fark me - I can't understand the "it isn't stolen you racist bastards" crowd - there are about 5,000,000 things in this ad that should have alarm bells ringing from Cape Town to Pluto.

It doesn't meet Rouxtjie's standards of a 1000posts even on FB... If that is even possible...  :w00t:

It's time I just manned up and said "She's out of my life"...

Tip of the cap to you sir. But you're right it could get dangerous.

Look just beware, by the looks of things the seller is a smooth criminal. Selling bikes for a pittance is human nature to the guy.

The original FB post has been updated, the Bike is sold to a legitimate new owner

I am now the proud owner of a genuine bargain Scott Spark !!

Well , having just had my new Trigger stolen less than 6 hours ago I am a bit raw. If I ever meet a fellow cyclist riding a high end bike that he bought second hand for  a fraction of the value while pretending to believe it not to have been stolen I will take out all the anger I am feeling this morning on you. It will involve shoving said bike up your back side coupled with incoherent swearing, so just to let you know up front: I will basically be trying to say "YOU ARE A D@@S"

I fully agree that profiling is wrong, and I think the lift and size arguments are dodgy - but lets focus on the non-politically charged warning sign here: THE PRICE!!!! Come on guys if you turn a blind eye to such a ridiculous price in order to get a "bargain" you are not part of the problem, you are the problem.

Could someone please remind me: the name of the "suspicious" bike shop in Wynberg. I need my Trigger back.... before the next Dirtopia Enduro (wishful thinking)

Eish, bummer I didn't see this earlier.

Bikeshop phoned me just now with a quote on servicing my 2008

giant Trance 26er: R3924.  Could have had a whole new bike for about the same price! AND would have been able to use the Trance for spares for the hardtail.

I don't know any suspicious bike shops in Wynberg.

The bike shops in that area are Cycle Lab, Trail and Tar, Magnet Cycles, Neil's Wheels, Bridge Cycles, Cycle Lab, Sportmans Warehouse, Freewheel.

Maybe it's on my list - maybe it's not.

I really hope you find your ride
