You should be more worried about whether the bike you have would still fit you in a year or 2...You're 14. You'll still be growing for a couple years. Considering that it makes more sense for you to have a medium than a small anyways. You have an awesome bike. Its fine for you. As is. Enjoy it.

regardless of what a bike is designed to do, reach is reach, seat tube length is seat tube length, with the right cockpit parts you can have 2 completely different size bikes that are for completely different jobs with identical final cockpit dimensions

itd be stupid, but its possible.

so when comparing sizing of dh bike A to 160mm trail bike B, the numbers mean the same thing, and the best part is, (you have to assume that) they dont lie.

Just ride your bike.

Only if you go for a junior dh bike with 24" wheels will you get something smaller. And then it'll be too small in 6 months time.

Ride your bike.

He'll just complain about that anyway. If I'd ever been lucky enough to have had a bike like an izimu when I was 14, I would just stfu and ride the hell out of it, not whine like a little girl.

I'm picking up a common theme here,

"Ride your bike"....

The good thing is that all of the peeps giving the advice have probably as much experience pedalling a bike as what you have being on two feet so any normal person would be inclined to take the advice...

My advice? Ride the bike.......

Hi Mongooser

How long have you had the bike? Some bikes just take time to get used to and once you do, they are forever great. Others feel easy from the word go, but then they never reach the same heights as the former.

If you have ridden it for a short time only, I would persevere a bit longer. It might just be the geometry of your previous bike and your muscle memory and co-ordination that is so ingrained, that you need time to develop it again for the new bike.

Quick question, who paid for your bike?

If you, did you work for the money, or was it saved up pocket money?

Just for interest sake.

It's a pity there isn't a button for "GREAT RESPECT  AND LIKE THIS VERY MUCH". That's what I think!
