IceCreamMan Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Beautiful bike...damn that's 25km/h just standing still.....unfair advantage I reckon
dracs Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Then my last question, I am looking for a good looking tri suit. Troisport does not have anything different and bike basement also got rid of their tri gear.Where can I go and get something that would not just be the norm? I am in Jhb if it helps Thanks If you want something that stands out, have a look here... http://www.funkypants.co.za/collections/tri-suits/products/funky-tri-suit-feed-me-seymore-1?variant=21454039302

Thanks for the offer Dracs I am a Medium though, maybe pushing a large GLWS
Wheelsuck Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Anyone used bicycletransport.co.za before?Yep, that is Joggie and his crowd. Was good, the bike is transported complete and it's a roll on/off . The time in Durban I used them they were a bit late in ariving but apart from that it's great.
Wheelsuck Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Time for the weather predictions and updates about to start soon?Followed by the usual Paniektoestand and the the resignation that is what it will be.
snakedoc Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Time for the weather predictions and updates about to start soon?Followed by the usual Paniektoestand and the the resignation that is what it will be. Im coming in with low expectations and will no doubt be pleasantly suprised
WW87 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Time for the weather predictions and updates about to start soon?Followed by the usual Paniektoestand and the the resignation that is what it will be. Apparently it will be windy and hot, or cold and rainy....or both....or neither...or, or or... Either way, it's the 2nd toughest 70.3 in the world so let's prepare to suffer
Dubsymike Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Thanks for the offer Dracs I am a Medium though, maybe pushing a large GLWSHi CM, I don't know if it meets your looks needs, but i highly recommend 2XU (based in PE) - you can shop online. Great service and after sales from them and I'm personally very happy with my trisuit. http://www.2xu.co.za/ Mike

The swim is not to bad the conditions are good. The cycle is fairly flat with one or two longish climbs, but it is a lot faster than EL https://www.strava.com/segments/13460197 The run is flat but it's no fun, when we did it the beachfront was open to "normal" sunday traffic which meant you had to dodge kids on skateboards while suffering through the run https://www.strava.com/segments/10128451 edit: also not sure if I am biased, but the vibe in slummies is 100 times better than DBN
shaper Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Agreed the vibe is better, especially on the run leg.... although always almost die from the braai smoke just after bunkers hill when am gasping for air!!
